The Burden I Bear for You

About The Burden I Bear for You

When super-strong Lena accepts a hundred-thousand-dollar bodyguard contract to protect paralyzed heir Sylvester, she wastes no time kicking down his door and dragging him, wheelchair and all, out of the shadows and back into the light. Sylvester had spent two silent, bitter years trapped in darkness, but Lena refuses to let him wallow in despair. Tossing out every breakable item, replacing delicate glass with durable thermoses, and flinging open every curtain, she forces him to confront the world through pure, unstoppable determination. Her chaotic tough love shocks him into speaking his first words in years. When envious relatives and greedy board members challenge her presence, Sylvester finally speaks up to defend her, confessing that while money brought Lena through the door, her fierce spirit made him want to live again. Behind the scenes, conniving rivals Ethan and Evelyn plot Sylvester's downfall, but Lena crushes their treacherous schemes with jaw-dropping martial arts combat. From effortlessly tossing kidnappers aside to slamming corporate traitors onto boardroom tables, she proves she is an absolute powerhouse. Inspired by her loyalty and fire, Sylvester pushes through grueling rehab to take his miraculous first steps toward the woman who saved him. Together, they plant a flourishing tree in the courtyard labeled Second Try, ready to claim their hard-won love and vengeance.
