Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes what DramaDark collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: no account is needed, we use analytics to understand how the website is used, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Who we are
DramaDark (“DramaDark”, “we”, “us”) runs the website dramadark.com, where you can browse and watch short dramas for free. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the website and what choices you have.
2. Information we collect
You do not need an account to use DramaDark, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details. The information involved is limited to the following.
Usage data (analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used. It records, for example, the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), your device, browser and screen type, and how long a visit lasts. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart.
Technical and server logs
Like most websites, our servers and our network provider log basic request details such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type. We use them to keep the website secure, to fix faults and to prevent abuse, and we keep them only for a limited time.
Information stored on your device
To make the website work the way you expect, it saves a few things in your browser’s local storage: the dramas you added to My list, the dramas you liked, how far you got in an episode, and whether sound is muted. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Messages you send us
If you contact us, we receive the details you include in your message, such as your email address, and use them to reply.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the website and its video playback.
- To understand which dramas and features people use, so we can make the website better.
- To keep the website secure and to detect and prevent abuse.
- To answer questions and requests that you send us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. The website itself uses your browser’s local storage for the features described above. Cookies are set by Google Analytics (for example _ga and _ga_*) and may be set by our network provider for security and performance.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, and you can block Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The website continues to work if you do.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the website:
- Google (Google Analytics): receives the usage data described above. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare: delivers and protects the website and may process your IP address and request details.
- Hosting provider: the servers that run the website.
- Video delivery networks: episodes are streamed from third-party video servers. When a video loads, your browser connects to them and they can see your IP address and request details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users or the website.
6. How long we keep information
Analytics data is kept according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account. Server and security logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted or anonymised. Information saved in your browser stays there until you clear it.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not run user accounts, most of what is held about a visitor sits in analytics tools and in your own browser, which you can manage with the options described in section 4.
To make a privacy request, contact us at Use the contact details published on this website.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
DramaDark is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some dramas contain mature themes, and parents and guardians should supervise what younger viewers watch. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our providers operate in many countries, so information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States. Where required, providers rely on recognised safeguards for such transfers.
10. Security
The website is served over HTTPS and we use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at Use the contact details published on this website.
